Eleven years after the last edition dedicated to Cornwall, the 55th edition of the festival will once again honour Cornish culture, language, and identity across one of the world’s largest Celtic gatherings. This year offers a special opportunity to: Celebrate the maritime spirit and energy of Cornwall Strengthen cultural connections across both sides of the Channel Highlight the shared seafaring heritage of Atlantic Celtic nations 🌍 About the festival The Lorient Interceltic Festival is the largest gathering of Celtic nations in the world, held every August in Lorient, Brittany. It brings together performers, artists, academics, and cultural groups from across the Celtic world and beyond. Each year, the festival welcomes: Over 950,000 visitors and spectators More than 5,000 performers from across Celtic nations and the global diaspora Around 300 events and performances across 10 days and nights A spectacular Grande Parade des Nations Celtes, attracting tens of thousands of spectators A full programme of music, dance, talks, workshops, exhibitions, sport, and cultural exchange From traditional music and dance to contemporary Celtic arts, the festival transforms Lorient into a living celebration of Celtic identity and connection. In 2026, Cornwall takes centre stage once again, celebrating its language, culture, and place within the wider Celtic world.
